Putting Her Best Foot Forward

We’re thrilled to be able introduce you to Julia Best, the newest financial advisor at Family Wealth Coach. The work we do with our clients is always done with an eye toward the future, and that's how we run our business too. Which means we've been looking for a future leader to join the team; and we found her. Her name is Julia. Julia started her career in general insurance 5 years ago and has continued to develop her knowledge in investment, insurance, retirement and estate planning. She has a Bachelor of Management & Organizational Studies, Finance Specialization from the University of Western Ontario and is currently pursuing her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Quite simply, she is passionate about learning and applying that learning to be the best financial advisor that she can be. Her motivation comes from helping clients secure their future by developing and implementing a roadmap for wealth that includes clients’ children, children’s children, or her personal favourite, charity. Julia likes to give back. She has been an active volunteer supporting individuals with Down Syndrome for 10 years, currently with Ups and Downs - Calgary Down Syndrome Association and teaches financial literacy through Junior Achievement Southern Alberta. We asked her what she has learned since joining the Family Wealth Coach team:"I'm really recognizing the true value of succession planning for business owners and professionals. It is common for business owners to look for a junior team or family member to help bridge a succession gap, and the search for a future successor often happens in a vacuum; without much outside support or perspective. But succession planning is complicated and worth having support. How will you ensure that your clients continue to be taken care of when the business is passed forward? What will your business legacy be? They're important questions."Great insights Julia, and welcome to the team.
